This year, American Tree Experts proudly celebrates 75 years of family-owned and operated arboriculture services in southeast Wisconsin.
Since its founding by the late Chester Ziemienski in 1950, the company has remained committed to enhancing the beauty, health, and prosperity of the region’s trees and landscapes. With a team of certified arborists, American Tree Experts serves thousands of homeowners, condo associations, rental property managers, local businesses, and institutions, ensuring that urban forests continue to thrive for generations to come.
Chester Ziemienski, a forestry graduate from the University of Michigan, recognized the growing need for professional tree care services in Milwaukee. Fueled by his passion for quality tree care and a vision to preserve urban forests, he established City Tree Service, which later evolved into American Tree Experts.
Today, the company is led by Chester’s son, Jesse, who has served as president since 1989, and his grandson, Dean, who has been vice-president since 2007. Despite the many changes in the tree care industry, the core values of dedication, integrity, and a commitment to responsible arboriculture remain at the heart of the company.
As we mark this milestone, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our customers, both past and present, for your trust and loyalty. Your continued support has been instrumental in our growth and success. We are grateful to our industry partners like the Wisconsin Arborist Association, International Society of Arboriculture and Tree Care Industry Association, for helping us refine our skills and stay at the forefront of tree care innovation. Finally, we offer our deepest appreciation to our home community of New Berlin for being a gracious and supportive host throughout the years.
