Early Glow™ Buckeye (Aesculus glabra) is a wonderful addition to the Wisconsin landscape. The cultivar’s large, yellow flower clusters attract a variety of creatures – especially hummingbirds and butterflies – and its unique leaves display red-orange foliage in fall. This ornamental tree, which grows in full sun or partial shade, will leaf out into a dense, full canopy to cool your home and yard.

Early Glow™ Buckeye grows best in slightly acidic, moist or well-drained soil, though it can tolerate wet or dry environmental conditions because of its deep-reaching roots (taproot). This buckeye is disease resistant to leaf blotch, leaf scorch and powdery mildew. It is a top-performing variety and our recommended tree choice this spring.
