The demand for arborists continues to grow as more communities are realizing the value of trees and “greening up” their spaces.
It’s especially critical that there are more skilled and trained tree experts available to prune and care for trees in the safest manner possible.
American Tree Experts encourages employee participation in the Wisconsin Arborist Apprenticeship Program – one of the first skilled worker initiatives in the country.
Through the program, employees build their knowledge and skills with an ideal mix of both on-the-job and classroom training.
Two of our employees – Isaiah and Chris – are enrolled in the fall program at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). In the meantime, our certified arborists are teaching them the required skills of how to access trees, operate a chain saw on the ground and aloft, prune trees and shrubs, and follow industry regulated safety standards.
